What Is The Third Evolution?

As listed above, it is the third in a series of three major evolutions that our world has gone through. Each evolution is necessary for the next evolution. 

First evolution — The Physical Universe: We must have a physical universe before we can have life. 

Second evolution — Biological Life: We must have life before we can have a human civilization. 

Third Evolution — Human Civilization

We know a great deal about the evolution of the Universe since the Big Bang. We also know a great deal about the evolution of life from the earliest amino acids. However, we know very little about the evolution of human civilization or what drives that evolution. In fact, we don’t even think of human civilization as going through an evolution.

The goal of the Third Evolution is to apply the concept of evolution to the development of human civilization. In particular, to describe the forces driving that evolution to better understand why human civilization has evolved to where it is today and to better understand where human civilization is heading. It is one of the most fascinating and impactful scientific quests of all time.
